About
A catalog of video games across every platform and era, built from open data.
Ludography gathers tens of thousands of games into one place and organises them the way people look for them: by platform, genre, studio, publisher, series, year, and by themed collections such as zombie games, cross-play games or the best-sellers of a console.
Every game page brings together a cover, screenshots, artwork and trailers, release dates per platform, the people and companies behind it, ratings from players and critics, and the collections it belongs to.
Sources and licences
- Collection tables and game descriptions are adapted from the English Wikipedia, licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. Each collection and description links to the article it came from.
- Structured facts (platforms, genres, companies, dates, identifiers) come from Wikidata, released under CC0.
- Covers, screenshots, artwork, trailer links and ratings are provided by IGDB.com; store trailers and screenshots by Steam. Rights to the media remain with the publishers.
The catalog is rebuilt from these sources by scripts; nothing is edited by hand. A mistake here is usually a mistake upstream, and is best fixed there.
