About

Marvelous USA Inc. (formerly Xseed Games) is an American video game company founded in 2004.

›Story

"In the far future, a massive corporation called Ravenwood controls commerce on Earth and on numerous other worlds across the galaxy. They are not unlike a nation, with their own army, economy, and would-be government.

When the son of Ravenwood’s president goes missing on a remote mining planet, and all contact with the miners’ colony is lost, a mercenary team is hastily assembled and sent out to determine just what happened. Among the members of this team is Jameson, an old soldier with a dark past he’s trying to forget.

Just as the ship carrying Jameson and his team arrives, it experiences a catastrophic electrical failure and crash-lands upon the planet’s surface, with Jameson the only apparent survivor. Trying to reopen communications with the Ravenwood corporation, he comes across what’s left of the mining operations upon this desolate planetscape, and learns a truth far more sinister than he ever could have imagined..."

Development

The company was founded in 2004 by former Square Enix USA employees, with the goal of localizing Japanese games for the American market. In 2007, AQ Interactive, Inc. announced the acquisition of Xseed Games, with share transfer before June. The deal was signed on April 24, and the share transfer was completed on June 26.

Xseed Games joined forces with Marvelous Entertainment (MMV) to co-publish its games in North America in 2008. At E3 2008, MMV USA and Xseed Games distinguished the games that would be co-published under the agreement and the games that Xseed would publish separately.
