Pit Fiend

From Microdeal's budget label comes a maze exploration/survival game with similarities to older arcade titles. As you start the game (after the title screen which plays a rendition of The Entertainer, the screen quickly flashes an overhead map of the five levels of a dungeon, after which you find yourself at the middle level. You move your character in block increments through the dungeon, with the objective to find nine pieces of an ancient shield that are scattered throughout the five levels. You are working against time, since a gauge on the right side of the screen is running down, which can be interpreted as oxygen supply, stamina or a simple time limit.
