Sonic Madness
Sonic Madness is a 2D side-scrolling platformer fan game that features a unique character-swapping loop across a multi-act campaign structure. Instead of controlling traditional heroes, players directly command Dr. Robotnik and Metal Sonic, with gameplay split into distinct character-specific acts that require completely different navigation mechanics.

›Story
Set in the immediate aftermath of Sonic Mania Plus, the story follows Dr. Robotnik (Eggman) and his ultimate cybernetic creation, Metal Sonic, as they refuse to accept defeat. Instead of retreating, the duo launches a massive counter-offensive to construct, expand, and forcefully defend a sprawling industrial empire.
The narrative unfolds through fully custom animated cutscenes that map out their campaign for global domination. As their robotic territory spreads across newly conquered zones like Star Brain and Funk Surgery, Dr. Robotnik must deploy Metal Sonic to crush emerging threats and systematically destroy older, obsolete mechanical models—including a rogue confrontation with Silver Sonic. With their ultimate empire nearly complete, the villains prepare for a final, catastrophic showdown to once and for all eliminate their greatest thorns: Sonic the Hedgehog and his allies.
